Robert MacGimsey is best known for his song, Sweet Little Jesus Boy.  What I have to offer here at the present time are two links to more information about him along with an image of the back side of the vintage sheet music cover of the song, My Child Asleep, published by Carl Fischer in 1940.

Interesting little tidbits pop up here and there when collecting sheet music. I found reading about MacGimsey and his accomplishments quite interesting. The Wikipedia article was disappointing, and I am hoping that maybe someone with authoritative source information will add to the article.
